A fun and family friendly poetry workshop designed to help young people develop their creativity and imagination.
During the workshop we delve into the depths of our imaginations to pull out strange and unusual monster poems.
Participants will:
Listen to monster poems for inspiration
Use games, arts, crafts and activities to spark their ideas
Write individual poems about their own monstrous creations
For those who feel brave, perform their poems

This fun and practical workshop programme run over 8 weeks is aimed at KS2.
Participants will start by learning the basic anatomy of a graphic novel, character development, setting, themes and plotting with the aim of writing and creating their own graphic novel.

This three part workshop series looks at how we can use existing media to influence, inspire and be the foundation of new creative works.
It runs through some of the key techniques that can be used to create new ideas for any format but focuses on Poetry.

This two part poetry workshop, aimed at KS2, will allow participants to embrace nature and reach a state of peaceful zen. All while learning how to write classical haikus.
Then we smash them together in an act of creative destruction to build newly formed poems from the remains.

How much can you tell with only 500 words? This 5 week workshop series helps participants to prepare an entry to the BBC's 500 Words competition.
Participants will learn about how the competition is judged, understand how to use characterisation, interesting language, plotting, setting and originality in order to create the best under-500-word story that they can.
